Everyday I come up with new ideas and things I want to do with my business. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in all of these great ideas and lose focus. In one of my previous posts I gave myself a deadline of December 1st for a partial launch for my website. While that was very much attainable, the site wouldn’t have been exactly how I wanted it to be. I don’t want to settle for mediocrity just to be able to quench my urge to share my visions sooner.
Learning from the past
I have made the mistake of rushing ideas out many times before. Rushing to push stuff out and to show the world just to have it back-fire for so many reasons (I won’t waste your time listing them all). At the time I thought I was just making excuses as to why I was waiting but really it was my gut telling me not to push it and to be patient. My real issue was I was trying to prove something to myself but I didn’t fully take the time to figure out what I was trying to prove. Moving forward every scattered thought or great idea I have will be fostered and given purpose with me first before I dare share it with anyone else.

Timing is everything
For me personally, when I have so many great ideas flowing through my mind, I want to get them out as soon as possible. But throughout this process I am being reminded that patience is a virtue, and that slow and steady wins the race. Timing is everything and while I am excited for what is to come and for people to see what I am creating, I want it to be right. I want it to be perfect. So here is to refocusing and turning my scattered thoughts into reality, all in due time.
